Waltz |
Poetry
by Jeff Caro |
| |
Spring
air whistles
between our eyes –
tired subway ride |
Songs
of Spring morning –
reverberations
around the gem-green bottle.
|
|
| |
Autumn
night on Puget Sound
–blinking fireflies
through the tall windows |
–plick
! water on the white
cold bathroom floor –
cockroaches run and hide
|
|
| |
kicking
tin cans
in the streets – Brooklyn’s
a western ghost town |
Victoria
taxicabs –
pale blue bugs
gliding along
|
|
| |
January
afternoon –
sealions honks rise
in the pale, calm air |
